About Sara Ruvinsky

I’ve been a practicing physical therapist for over 25 years.  I received my Bachelors of Science in Physical Therapy from New York University in 1998 and later earned an Advanced Masters specializing in orthopedic and manual physical therapy from Touro College. I have completed advanced coursework in pelvic health, prenatal and postpartum care, and full body manual therapy techniques for the spine and extremities. I am also a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist (CEAS).

I began my career at Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, followed by Beth Israel Medical Center in Manhattan, where I was promoted to Advanced Clinician specializing in the treatment of spinal conditions. Throughout my career, I have completed hundreds of hours of continuing education and continue to pursue advanced training on an ongoing basis to stay current with best practices in physical therapy and pelvic health.   When I am not treating patients, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my husband and twin daughters, as well as staying active through running, swimming, and strength training. I am especially passionate about playing pickleball and try to get on the court as often as I can!

My approach

Home physical therapy visits provide convenient, one-on-one care in the comfort and privacy of your own home. This allows treatment to be tailored to your daily routines, including childcare demands, work-from-home ergonomics, and everyday movements that may be contributing to pain or dysfunction. By evaluating your real-life environment, I can offer practical strategies and personalized solutions that support long-term recovery and improved function.
Corina Tennant M.D.

"I have referred numerous patients to Sara with consistently positive results. One patient came to her prenatal visit on crutches due to pain and returned at her next visit walking with ease. Sara’s expertise in treating a wide range of the discomforts of pregnancy and postpartum provides women with a much-needed service, and my patients consistently praise her skill and accessibility."
